A 40% increase in attendance so far this year at Werribee Baptist Kids Church (WBCKids) has been a leading factor in the church’s recent move to 2 morning services.

In 2023 WBCKids was averaging 88 kids each Sunday and already this year the programme is seeing on average,135 children attend each week with an Easter spike of 177.  The WBCKids leaders and team are passionate and have been working hard on delivering quality, active and engaging programs while building relationships with both kids and their families.

Easter was an exciting time for the whole of Werribee Baptist Church, with the church hosting the Wyndham Combined Churches Good Friday services with around 1500 attendees across 2 services.  

At their own Easter Sunday services, the church had nearly 1000 people through the campus, including some adult salvation decisions and 5 baptisms with video testimonies.

The WBCKids programme also had an amazing Easter Sunday with a children-oriented Easter message, including fun acting and props that told the story of Jesus’ sacrifice in ways the children could understand.  This was deliberately followed by a call to salvation and individual prayer with children as they responded, resulting in 24 kids deciding to follow Jesus.

Since Easter, the WBCKids team have been following up with the children’s parents and families and working to deliver resources and guidance on next steps for them and their children, including information on baptism for some. The WBCKids Team are excited and prayerful about what’s next.

The Church leaders as a whole, pray that the adults, children and their families will be encouraged by the faith steps both the adults and kids have taken and the expressions of God’s love they will spread into their various school, sport and work communities. In the meantime WBC will continue current local outreach programs which are helping those who need it most right now.

WBC is thankful for all God is doing for His Church in Wyndham! With the recent growth, WBC can only point to God and what He appears to be doing in this church.
