Intentional investment in leadership development

Leadership development is a major part of the BUV Generations Network and as usual the first half of the year kicked off with a bang.

The 2023 EMERGE (intentional leadership development pathway for emerging leaders) cohort kicked off in February with the now traditional team building / getting to know each other activity of assembling bikes. The bikes were donated to children at Mt Waverley Nth Primary School (after being checked by the local bike guy to ensure their safety!).

The cohort has also been treated to an Interview with an Authentic Leader – which happened to be our BUV Director of Mission and Ministries, Rev Daniel Bullock. It was a mutually beneficial day – the cohort benefited from Daniel providing genuine leadership wisdom from his years in generation, church and now denomination leadership while Daniel and the wider BUV benefited from the investment in the future leadership!

Those already in Generations ministry roles didn’t miss out on input from Daniel Bullock either. Daniel spoke at their BUV Generations Network Day in March where they focused on reflective practices and the power of feedback. The day provided great connections and was deeply appreciated by those who attended.

We have also welcomed new Generations Pastors at the following churches Kilsyth, OneHope (4 appointments), Lifeway, Werribee (3 new appointments) – Please join with us in welcoming them to our Baptist Generations Network and praying for them as they lead, support and care for our next generation.
